Apocalypse Island

Spooked billionaires are turning New Zealand into Apocalypse Island. They are buying land and building boltholes (a British expression for a hole in the ground or place of escape), according to British tabloid Daily Mail. The elite are preparing for a doomsday event, which the newspaper suggests might involve asteroid impact, giant earthquake, nuclear war, civil war, pandemic, zombie invasion and the Second Coming. The last scenario reminds me of Revelation 6:15-16, which describes God’s end-time judgment:

And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!”
