Kim Meeder and husband Troy own and operate Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Central Oregon. They rescue abused and neglected horses and pair them with hurting children for mutual healing. I heard Kim interviewed on a Focus on the Family radio program while driving at night. And I couldn’t stop crying in the car. I was overcome by stories of Jesus Christ restoring the broken – both man and beast – in the wilderness. Hear the interview here. Kim also is a Christian speaker and author. Her personal testimony, how she found Jesus as a young girl following a family tragedy, is powerful. After the broadcast I ordered her book “Hope Rising: Stories from the Ranch of Rescued Dreams.” The first chapter is about a hurting little boy whom God reached at the ranch. I was a weepy mess again.
