One Way
In 1973 a spiritual awakening captured the heart of the Woodlawn High School football team. Led by coach Tandy Geralds and fueled by the team’s dedication to love and unity in a school filled with racism and hate, Woodlawn made an astounding run at the playoffs. Virtually all the players and coaches had made a commitment to Jesus Christ. It impacted strife-torn Birmingham, Ala., and moved Bear Bryant to recruit Woodlawn’s star running back.
